Cheers to all the fella's who voted JAM the 'Peoples Chioce' award at the Dyno Day. I really appreciate the honour...especially after 3 years of blood, sweat and beers 8)

Today (Sunday Sept 11) I entered JAM in the Hills Shire Annual Classic Car Display.

There were 160 cars in total, ranging in vintage from 1904 to 2005.

JAM was slotted into the 'Manufactured from 1970 to 1980' category.

The final placings in my category were:

1st - Holden Torana GTR-XU1
2nd - Holden Torana GTR-XU1
3rd - Mini Clubman S - J_A_M 8)

I am totally wrapped! :D

Congrats also to Rod (MCC member), who won 3rd in his category (Manufactured 1965 - 1969) - with his Mini Deluxe, which is absolutely immaculate! He was beaten by Ford Thunderbirds.

(cheers Steve and Mikey for keeping me company all day......long day!!! :? )

It's great to see Mini's take on 'the big boys' and still come home with some bling bling!!

When I was part way into my 3 year resto, I decided that I wanted to win a trophy for JAM. Through my whole life, I had been good at different things, but not great at one particular thing. All I ever wanted was something to put on the mantle piece. It was my dream.

Dreams come true!! 8) So to all the people out there still trying.....keep on trying!! All good things come to those who wait! And having patience IS a virtue!!

Great news, well deserved. You may need to allow for a trophy cabinet in the JAM budget. :)

The rewards and awards are directly related to the effort put in - I'm sure it's the first of many - well done mate, well deserved.

Congrats. good to see someone who has a trophy winning car, but is not afraid to give it a run on the dyno or go out on regular club events.

Okay, so maybe Jan (Mutant) fits into this class too. Hey. Where has she been lately :?: No posts from her for ages...
