hey all, what can i say, im a noob, up to right now, all ive owned are either silvias or 180sx, but ive been eyeing off a few minis ive seen round the gold coast, my only dilemna is...im about 6'3 and...im pretty much concerned about whether ill even fit into one of these things? does anyone know of tall people driving minis, and whether or not i'd fit in one?. cheers all |

Most people that drive Mini's are tall. I'm in a minority. You can easily make brackets up to move the seats backwards (on all Mini's before about 76). Same thing can be done on the steering column, which can easily be lowered to suit the seat being further back. |

I'm not exactly an expert, but if you fit into a japanese sports car then you shouldn't have any problems in a mini, if you do you could always take out the front seat and drive from the back ![]() |

You'd be suprised at how much room they have inside. Go for a test drive in one of the one's for sale on the Coast. I'm not tall, and I'm not slim either ![]() only problem I've found was with the closeness of the pedals with size 10 1/2 steelcap boots on ![]() |

i'm 6'5 120kg, i fit and feel more comfy in a mini than i do in a falcoon, commondore or any other large car. Remember mini's don't have a centre console, air bags and the like to take away room from the driver. my suggestion is go for a drive in one. first before commiting to buying one. Cheers Aaron |

but be warned, once you drive one, you will want one! They are more fun than cars with twice the power & four times the "features" ![]() |

Getting yourself a Sparco seat or similar will help. Should drop your head an inch or two from the roof. I'm 6'1" and don't touch the roof in stardard seats. ![]() |

cheers for the ultra quick replies guys. yeah, left a msg on one guys answering machine, so hopefully be going to check one out sometime this weekend, will tell u how it goes, its a 74 clubman, welded on flares, no rust, and has been resprayed, weber carby, not sure what size the engine is or if anything has been done to it otherwise, but it needs electrics to be connected, and interior is pretty ordinary, not sure if this is an ok deal at 2400, what do u guys think? |

Hey Paul? Got your sms. My mini is still off the road. I think I'll be going to speed on tweed this weekend, but should be able to sqeeze in a look at that clubby if you like. Don't forget to look here. http://www.miniownersclub.com/mini_trader.htm One advantage of going with the clubman is that you can more easily fit a conversion in (Turbo Starlet Motor). A mini like that would crap all over any car you owned before. But we all know roundies usually look better ![]() |
