just found this site, which has pics of a restoration / customisation of a mini panel van(no windows). There is a very cool rear seat which folds down to become part of the floor, carpeted interior, speaker boxes which are also storage cabinets, DVD player... too many cool things to mention.

WARNING!!!! site has heaps of HUGE images totalling 9.61MB
you have been warned!!!!!

on the plus side.. its given me some GREAT ideas on what to do with my mini, particularly with carpet, and how to install it.

its well worth the wait.. but you might wanna go watch a short movie then come back... it might be loaded by then

very nice van - just goes to show what cash can do, but also a huge motivation for all of us. Love the rear seat - but notice with the way it folds there is nothing anchoring the rear of the seat??? and no seatbelts??? This gives me the impression it would work like a catapult and launch your smiling friends through the windscreen in an accident (or maybe with those highpower honda discs i hear about!). Other than that very trick!!!
(and yes i checked the site at work - cable connection makes it much quicker!)

Gotta love that interior! That dashboard is fantastic, wish mine looked that good. Makes me want to retrim my interior again, maybe make a few changes.

And it was real quick to download at uni, with a bloody fast connection. Sure beats 33k6 at home!

Anto.

looks like the back seat idea came from the original "traveller" which came with a foldable seat exactlylike that in the cargo area.

Lovin' my ADSL :P
loaded before i could look at all.

after my forst comment I wanted to add that he needs to learn how to make more than one page.......ie: a few pics per page, then link to next page, blah blah blah....

The rear seat looks like an old Sydney 'red rattler' train seat!

Critisism aside, its a very good job. I hope J_A_M has the same impact when finished.

Hey Meck,

That van was at the Blacktown Classic Car Show a few weeks back (in Sydney). I had an up close look at it, even sat in it.

Very impressive!

I dunno why he did it in white though :?:
His dash is pretty funny, it looks like a 767 cockpit with all the switches!
....everyone is a critic.
