ok i took out my plugs this afternoon to have a look see as it seemed a tat lean up high. Plug 1 is completly lean plug 2 is lean plug 3 is brown so just nice and plug 4 is black so too rich. huh ![]() ![]() ill take a pic soon cant find my camera usb atm but here is the dyno chart from a week back ![]() |

Best guess would be that someone's got a serious vacuum leak ..... Check the gasket on 1/2 ..... Looking at your A/f ratio, it linear.. very linear.... the only way i can see if getting like that AND have the fuel spread you are showing, might just be an inlet gasket .... got oil on the dashpot ? J |

Have you put a kit thru the carb since you bought it? Have you jetted it correctly or close to? Does it idle erratically? what type of Manifold is it sitting on? It's a HIF44 isn't it? My guess is some of the seals are gone and it is dripping fuel down one side of the carb and into that leg of the manifold. Or there's an air leak as Kazjim has suggested. Cheers Aaron |

Another reason for readings like that would be a blown head gasket. The water will clean up the plugs so they look lean. |
