Anyone know the length of a front trumpet (as shown in this pic) ?

Image

I have my front hi-lo's, but I want to make sure they will actually reduce the height before I fit them. I have heard of people fitting hi-lo's, adjusting them to their lowest setting, and the car is still at normal ride height!

Moke ones are longer, so I'm no help to you...

I have my hi-lo's now. My bro brought them back from the UK with him yesterday

I measured them this morning, but I don't want to spend x hours fitting them, to get the same result as what I have now!

You could fit the rear ones and raise the back to be the same as the front

Anton - I have to admit that your ride height is noticably high. Hi-lo's mostly do allow you to set the car quite a lot lower than you have your car now.

My mini is very low (modified trumpets) and its a pain as it wont clear most speed humps and I am always conscious of a breakable gearbox.

G'day Mike....yea i don't want to be too low, to the point where I scrub out on speed humps, or my driveway even!!!

I just want to be normal....

Yes I knew that the aircraft engineer in you wouldn't let it get too low.
My second ever ausmini post.

Ps our local paper has a story about a guy who made a can cooler and sausage heaterout of a small jet engine and an old turbo. Sound familiar ????I know its not you coz his photo is also shown and he has clothes on.

Cheers Adam! Thanks for that.

My hi-lo's are 75mm when they at their lowest adjustment.

I wonder whether say 12mm difference in the length of the trumpet makes a greater difference in ride height?

Anyone know?
