This is possibly very silly, but seeing as I know nothing about cars, I'm going to ask...

When I put the choke in my car keeps revving really high, until I push on my accelerator hard (so it revs higher than it has been), then it settles back down to a more normal idle.
What's the go with this? Is it something possibly fixed easily, or should I just rush it to a professional?

Thanks in advance!

your choke assembly is probablygetting caught on the idle increase screw. Try cleaning the carb with a can of carb cleaner and then a touch of WD40 To keep in lubed.
No silly questions, we all started somewhere.

the carb is the round pot thing that sits at the back of the engine bay closest to the window. in the middle.

I had similar problems with my choke i found it was the cable i pulled it out and put some oil down the tube slid the cable back in the tube and that fixed my problem.
If you ask enought questions you can learn anything and there is enough
people on here to help out with any problems you will come across with your mini. Hope you find the answer to your problem.
