Well being a bit of a lazy tit myself, I havent touched the mini's grease nippless for ages. Was wondering - is there a proper procedure for greasing them up? Oh and the old grese gets worked out with time, but is there a way of extracting it (or any need to do so)?

You are a bad man...the Mini needs grease :!:

Just clean up each nipple and then pump away until clean grease is seen coming through... :D

Yes Mike U are bad, very bad... <smack><smack>...

Mine gets done every filter change, 3000 miles, so I don't forget. 3000 miles is recommended by Mr BMC and Mr Leyland... 8)

There are 3 each side at front, 1 each side at rear, and 1 in an impossible spot on back of diff housing (magic wand & remote boxes).

Note- I give the 2 rear trailing arm ones about 15 pumps each...
Bushes are still not worn after 35 years.

Perhaps if they looked more like real nipples you'd get around to greasing them more often ;)

No, LMM is really a CV etc grease. Use a Lithium based EP2 general purpose grease. I'm currently using Mobil Supergrease, but most others eg Valvoline, Castrol are good.
