G'day all,

There ia an apparantly abandoned 1973 Moke 1100 on an acreage block at Coomera.

I say "apparantly" because it's on a block slated for residential development, the house has been removed and the adjacent houses are either derelict or vacant. I would expect it will be bulldozed with the rest of the rubble on site before too long.

The body is pretty rusty (floorless) and the wheels, head, radiator, starter and distributor have been removed (apparantly recently - no rust in bores). Suspension, brakes, block and gearbox look ok - motor turns.

I thinks it has been abandoned, but frankly, if it has an owner and anyone wants to try and contact them, I can provide more details.

I dunno if I should just publish the address here or if folk should pm me? - Advice...

All the parts I could have used are already gone. I simply put it here 'cause it might be useful to someone, and I'd hate to see it bullozed. But like I say - try and contact the owner.

wow that was a crazy trip.. found the moke ... whats with all those abandoned houses, so many around there its crazy.. we ended up touring dero houses nice homes with pools and waterfalls just left to ruin. some of the inhabited houses are a little odd to...kinda like deliverance.. expected some bung eyed freak to appear playing a banjo..we took all the back roads through to the new marine precinct..spotted a deer to just standing in the road. never seen one around here b4. anyone know why every second near new home is abandoned and trashed around there???
anyways the moke is a bit sad was a bit heavy to tip upside down to see if subframes were worth salvaging...
next question is how did you ever find that there?
good find anyways..

There's an old fashioned roundback caravan on the same site as the moke. I spotted that froom the side street and only then say the Moke.

I'm guessing that the whole area's up for development. Wihin a couple of years it'll be the typical sea of "lowset-four-bedroom-brick-and-tile" houses I think.

Strange vibe about the place though...
