i've had a bit of a problem the last couple of times driving the mini that it is hard to get into gear driving. Then its all good again, then stop and hard to get it in first or second.
I put new carpet in, so i thought maybe the carpet is too thick now when the clutch is pressed down, so i trimmed that up. went all good for a bit , then the same problem again.
so today i've gone to bleed the clutch, having a hassle getting my piece of tubing around the bleed nipple, so i thought i'd jack it up and try from underneath. thats when i noticed a shed load of oil on the bottom/back end of the gearbox and around where the remote gear joins the block. Theres no oil leaks from the top of the engine, so it must be something gone down below.
any one got any ideas of what it might be?
thanks

Sure it's oil & not fluid from the clutch slave cylinder?

That would explain a lot...
