Well I dont know... I mean you have to consider the fact that the back seat has NEVER BEEN SAT ON and the tool kit still has the same packing grease on it from 1974. So with just those two things alone I would assume this car will sell for double that price ![]() But hang on I havent had my medicine today... |

if it is as good as it is said to be with very low K's then it is worth it. The cooper on the hand that has been mentioned i think isn't 10k. looks like it's flogged and would need work to get it back to original. My thought's only. Cheers Aaron |

Back seat never sat on? Thats crap. Just like Mr. Beans? Thats crap. Toolkit with factory grease? Why were they packed in grease? Engine thumps along? Is that good? That said, It is a nice car. |

That said, It is a nice car. he's just trying to sell it, any why not try anything on ebay, just go over the top to make people think they are getting themselves an absolute bargain..although ten grand is pretty expensive, it looks pretty neat and he's probably just hopeing for people to make him offers...not expecting for someone to 'buy it now' for ten grand |

well most people think that their cars are "worth" a lot more than they end up getting for them. a cooper s (with matching numbers) draws a premium because of the name and limited supply , not because its a better car than a cooper s "copy". as always , the market will determine what the true value of anything is. i sold my last cooper s for $8500 and everyone said it was way to cheap but the reality is, that i had that money in my pocket within 24 hours and i was happy enough. also the car we are doing up for my wife should have the power of a cooper s and with better braking .....works for me , i might even put a cooper s badge on it just so people can tell me its not real. on the other hand i have sold a moke for over $20,000 which i reckon (if i was buying it) was worth about $6000. some people have to much money and are happy to pay for something they really want. maybe the guy will get his 10k for the clubby, as the saying goes......theres one born every minute. |

Well Im in the middle of asking the same price for my MINI K.. I havent posted it on here because I'll get flamed but Im not asking it because im stupid, Im asking it because at the moment the market is sustaining that kind of buying. I dont think you can realistically say that a top clubman is worth 4-5. The new generation of classic mini buyers, (the ones with the cash) want quality over a certain model and will pay good $ too. So he's probably around the right mark there, perhaps ebay wont get him the best audience but we'll see. |
