Hi Wondering what is the best intake manifold for a HS6 I was looking at the ones at Mini car clinic for $166! Are these any good or are they better ones out there for the money? |

If you want performance, Graham Russell's one outflows all the others. ![]() Russell Engineering, 113A North Rocks Rd, North Rocks NSW. |

At what price can someone obtain one of these graham russell inlet manifolds and how do they sit with your average LCB extractors? The other option is to go a mini metro manifold and cut the exhaust off. It is a cheaper option but doesn't flow as well. |

The other option is to go a mini metro manifold and cut the exhaust off. It is a cheaper option but doesn't flow as well. Ring Graham Russell on 9630 2195. Price is around $200 but worth it. Watch if using an HS6 carb though- there ain't much (any) room under the jet. Tell him and he'll adjust angle to make sure it clears. Manifold fits OK with any LCB. ![]() |

I tried to put my GR manifold on Dad's moke but was unsuccesfull. No room for an air filter! It would fit on a Mini with a Speedo hole though. |

What about fitting LCB's and air filters and other pesky but necessary components with one of the mini spares water heated jobs? Anyone got any experience. I'm looking at a clubbie. Wow talk about hijacking a thread ![]() |

LCB's are fine for both the mini spares ones and the GR ones.. but you will need a offset air filter if using thr GR baby |

I've got a Graham Russell Manifold with a HIF44. It fits - JUST. I had to do little "Modification" at the bottom of the speedo hole, but with a HS6 I don't think you'll need to do that as the float bowl is off to the side isn't it? I am running a K&N offset filter - they do make a mini SU offset filter, but only for a 1.5" SU so you then have to ream out the baseplate to suit. Just make sure you allow airflow for all breather holes!! (see some of my old posts for what can happen when you F^%k this up!!) One day when I"m not lazy I'll post a pic or two ![]() |

Hey Bob. The SH6 is worse the the HIF44 (6) cause of the jet underneath.. without changing anyting the jet hits the wall just under the speedo hole on the panel join. and sitting there its about 1 cm off from been able to bolt up to the manifold.. the whae the jet opens its lots worse.. GR has my manifold back now to change the angle.. I got pics off it not fitting at home. maybe Jim or Kev can post if they still got the copys i sent them. ![]() |

See that's the advantage of having a crappy rusted out shell with little or no historical value. When presented with the option of either sending the manifold back for modification which may take days or weeks, or getting the car running in 30 mins with an angle grinder, the decision is easy!!! ![]() |

Thanks people the GR one looks great but the filter will foul and I dont wanna get out the BFH or the grinder. Is the mini spares one decent enough from a performance point of view its a 1275 with a RE13 and will be dressed with lcbs as well |
