do you have to lift up your doors to shut them properly?

is there excess play in the hinges, wiggle the door up n dowm, there should be nearly no play at all,

if so, buy a new HINGE PIN KIT (replaces the pins in the hinges without touching bolts in doors, or panel

if both the above is fine, try new door rubbers,

blake

Sometimes the hinges are too far gone for the standard bushing kit (around 50 bucks)....search ausmini for this subject and you will see that others have had to drill bigger holes and use far bigger bushes then standard to correct the problem.

just finished removing and refitting my passenger door to replace black plastic gaskets under hinges. To adjust the door position you have to take off the door trim and alloy kick plate for access to the hinge bolts and the removal off the front wheel helps if the hinge parts inside the wings need attention. I lightly loosen the hinge bolts and nuts and lift the door into positionand re-torque . I find loosening the door hinge nuts and then walk the door around the door cutout ( usually lifting the door at the lock end ) using the screws on the front of the door hinges to hold the door in position while retightening all nuts and bolts. Watch the paint work doesn't get chipped while closing the door.
