Sure it's the floor?

Usually wet carpet is from a leaking windscreen

Windscreen & windows are the problem 99 times out of 100 !

Carpets are wet in the morning when you haven't been driving?
Windows

Fix that seal!

And i'll bet that it all fogs up real quick when it rains, too?

Leaky windows, buddy

OR just wait until you get so much water down there that it rusts out and plain drains itself out.

In a mini its not only about stoping the water from coming in, but about stoping it from staying - if water leaks in you want it to drain away quickly = no rust - So check the drainage holes at the bottoms of the door pockets - some fools plug them up - open them - oh and check your windscreen wipers and bonnet insulation - water sometimes comes in through the wiper holes if the plastic bezels are cracked and through a badly fitting bonnet and runs down the heater hose cutouts and down the firewall onto the carpets.

if your car is sittng on a slope when it leaks (usually window seals ) the water will run wherever. my car had a leaky front window and it was facing up a hill so in the morning only the back carpet would be wet

if you have the time take out your carpet and your seats, and then get someone to hose your car while you sit inside with everything closed etc... squirt at every window and you will notice quick smart where water is coming from. I had the same problem, replaced all the seals, replaced all the plugs in the floor, then realised that when i did this, water was coming in over the back of the bonnet and dripping down behind the speedo into the cabin....!!!! (its a roundnose) New rubber across there and it stopped.
