Okey dokey, a common mistake made with the cork rocker cover gaskets is overtightening them. The cork will shrink a bit over time, and ya just tighten then up a nip every so often. Tightening it all the way up straight away doesnt necessarily mean it will stop it leaking. I used to cheat with my old V8, by using a bead of Permatex Ultra-Copper and just lightly squeezing it down till it cured, then give it a tweak more. The rocker covers on that were a PITA since they would warp and leak all the time. |

More likely not the rocker cover gasket this time- probably the timing cover seal, or LH diff cover seal. Clean the whole motor with degreaser, rinse it off, go for a 15 min run, then jack it up and look under. You should be able to see where it's coming out of. ![]() |
