OK I'll bite. What are Angel Eye headlights and where can I see a good picture of them? Are they supposed to give a better light than normal quartz halogen inserts such as Cibie or Hella? I did a google search but could find none specific to a mini. They are all talking about late European stuff.

Angel Eyes are a halogen headlight with an outer circle which is your parkers.

Take a look at www.mutantmini.com down the very bottom of the home page and you will see a pic in the dark.

I wouldn't say they are as good as the Halogen headlights I had before this but they look good. Certainly better than a normal Mini headlight.

All of the UK mags have them in them. Northern Mini Parts in Melbourne sell them.

Mine have tinted blue glass but shine normal when turned on. I had a friend bring them back from UK but haven't seen another set in Oz.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I have seen them on Mitsubishi vans and Late European cars. If they were a better performing light I would make the effort to try them but as they are not I will put Cibies or Hellas in it. This car will be driven a lot in the dark so lights are important. Super Oscars, QH inserts and a big alternator will fix it.

Arent you confusing the lights slightly? Oscars are external spots \ driving lights and angel eyes are usualy in the headlight insert. It could also be worthwhile to get a headlight relay if youre converting to halogen headlights it does improve their performance.

No Mike. I am going to bolt a light bar on the front with the Super Oscars and put QH inserts in the headlights.
