hey all, im gunna be installing my supercharger tomorrow but before i do i 'd like to know if theres a trick to gettting the harmonic balance and the pulley thing off. I know you have to bend the locking tab back but after that should i put the car in reverse or 4th or something to stop the car from turning over?
thanks in adavnce for the advice

I'd imagine the usual - a large old screwdriver or a main bearing shell in the flywheel teeth (remove starter motor) - seems like the safest place to me and worked for me in the past (I've had to remove it 5 times in situ because of a chewed up oil seal there).

If the engine is in the car, you'll have to undo the mounts on that size and raise the engine a few cm, otherwise the ballancer will never clear the engine mount. Oh and I'm sure everyone will tell you to remember to lubricate the pulley and be very careful not to damage the oil seal when reinserting it.

You may also need a puller, if the balancer is a good fit on the shaft. Cheapo Chinese one works OK.
Screw 2 bolts into the tapped holes in the balancer.
