Post subject:  PCV Valve and fuel/air mixture

I fitted a PCV today. In theory, that allows more air in to enter the combustion chambers, so do I have to make the mixture richer?

The test drive after fitting suggested that I might have to.

Probably I would wind the jets down 1/2 a turn or so.

Yes, you will need to re-tune your mixture.
Can't remember the procedure, but PC Valve does not affect the idle mixture (much).

Sorry, not much help  Manual time - or maybe someone else knows?

Ok probably a silly question but what does the PC valve do and any photos? Thanks

yea Mike, the idle mixture seems to be uneffected, but I have noticed a little less power down low when driving.

I was going to wind the jet bodies down 1 or 2 flats and see what happens....just ran out of time today.

PCV valve takes the crankcase pressure and recycles it, rather than venting it to the air in the engine bay. 'Should' make it a little less stinky.

Oh is this like the oil air seperator in an 'Evacusump' setup?

Just wind them down until flat spot goes- prolly 1/2-1 turn.

<edit> when I put my PCV on with the Dellorto, I had to up the idle jets (they also control part throttle) from 50 to 55.
All sweet now.... :P
