All i want to know is the Dos and Don'ts of fitting 13" Wheels to a Roundie.

Also what extra were and tear is associated with fitting either 13x6 or 13x7.

Is the Lift to the larger wheel all worth the hassle.

It CAN be done.

Con's: the steering is heavier, the front guards need cutting, you'll need arches, you'll need stepped rear drums and front discs (for suspension clearance and better braking - you'll have more weight to stop), the bearings will need upgrading, you may not beable to lower the car at all due to scrubbing, your take-off will be slower.

Pro's: Look cool, look cool, look cool.

Thats why i bought mine....

be prepared to replace your steering rack if you fit 13x7's. most racks have never been touched in 30 years and putting the extra weight of 13's will more than likley stuff it. Fun job that one.

Thanks I already have spaced drums and disc brakes and tapered roller bearings.

I have been told about the wear on the lower control arm can happen. Anyone had any experience with this

There are quite a few members of our club driving around with 13" wheels. We haven't changed our control arms. Don't seem to have any trouble.

I think the question is "how much do you want 13" wheels"?

If you want them, them go for it, regardless.

It is a look you are after probably not the handling.

BTW what is the biggest rim and tyre you have seen on any road driving mini? Just curious.

Just had a look, can't find anything relating to wheels. Can you explain, sorry I'm just a bit not with it.
