I had removed the crappy sound proofing stuff from inside the engine bay and found a big hole behind the speedo, is this usually filled with something. and is there any thing i can put there?? Any ideas would be great, as the sound inside the car is pretty loud, i always though it was loud that i could here the engine pretty much clear, but now i know why. |

Get some sponge, old lounge cushion is great, cut 2 fairly large block of it & jam it in each side of the speedo cable cuts down the noise dramatically. Doogie |

When I fitted the Dellorto on, I got a rectangular piece of colorbond, screwed it over the hole, and then beat the f*** out of it with a BFH to clear the air filter. Note to self... use alloy next time- it beats better...... ![]() I also stuck some soundproofing foil/foam/lead stuff on the back side of it. Just need to be careful you don't pinch any wires under it.. or you will let the smoke out of them!! ![]() ![]() |
