This may sound harsh, but maybe you should slow down a little. Go do an advanced driving course and go do some sort of motorsport and get it out of your system in a controled enviornment so you won't hurt yourself or others. Just a thought from a "old" person. Glad your ok.

Cheers

Aaron

Yes indeed. Have a fast mini. drive it fast. BUT- please do it on the track. I have a fast mini, have scared myself a few too many times, so i bit the bullet and took it to a track day...

Posted the fastest Mini time of the day, had a ball.

AND
The ambos are already wainting for ya.
All the cars are going in the same direction
Eveyone likes the speeds you do on the track. No-one whinges. Except your tyres.
You keep your license.
And hopefully your Car.
And, more importantly, ya life.

 Something to think about.

is there any tracks in Melbourne that let you go out and make the "tyres whinge" without having to put the car through cams or something?

Phillip Island? Not that far, really. I dunno about practice days, though. You would have to find out from the owners of the track. Mallala practice days aren't run by CAMS, just the private owner.

Even so, all you need is:

An oil catch tank, 2 Ltr Minimum,
Blue triangle on the boot to show the position of the battery,
Contact over the headlights,
1 Kilo fire extinguisher,
An approved seatbelt.

Oh, and a current CAMS license.

From all of your breathers.
They DISALLOW any breather to be atmospheric, im pretty sure.
This is why they need a catch tank.
Just in case
