...and the flash time between coats is 5-7 minutes, can I leave my gun for that time or will it clog up the jets? Or can I give it a little squirt every minute or so to keep it clear, or does it just not matter? TIA ![]() |

Tak time should be shorter then that. Sounds like your skimping on the thinners. Anyway.... if your doing a whole car with a 50% overlap you'll get back to the start panel in 5+ minutes so the gun wont clog. The needle will seal off the paint. Get a cloth dip it in thinners a scrub the needle tip and exit face if you get build up. The first squirt after a delay needs to be to clear away any gunk then your ok. |

Thanks for that - all I needed to know. I'm just practicing on a boot lid at the mo, so it only take a minute to spray it. |
