l purchased a reconditioned brake booster a few weeks ago. lt is supposed to be a vh44 model, But l think it may be a vh40. As there is no model sticker on the unit how can you tell the difference ? ls the booster cylinder diameters the same for both units ? If not what is the booster cylinder diameter of a vh44? This one measures 9 inches or 23cm. This includes the cylinder clamp ring.

Google and ye shall findeth. Apparently you'll have to be quite light on the peddle.

A VH40 has a 9" diaphram housing and an output pressure of 1470psi........
A VH44 has a 7.5" diaphram housing and an output pressure of 820psi........

Thanks for the reply Mick. l had a feeling it was the vh40 instead of the vh44. Dont know if l will use it now. A vh40 booster with metro 4 pot callipers may be to touchy in the wet.

cheers chasg
