Call me crazy.. But I had a dream last night...

Very real like.. so i figure its what ment to happen..

As alot of u know I really dont love clubby's much these days.. my taste is getting better with age.. :P

You also know I have a clubby. (see sig pic)

well anyways... when evil is finshed.. least body and paint wise.. I am going to get another roundy shell.. do the shell up.. put everything out of the clubby to the roundy...

THEN.. cut the front of the clubby and turn it into a round vtec..

 12 month plan.. i was thinking it before.. but after the dream.. got to do it now

Ever wondered why most of the conversions are done on clubbies?

Those extra inches are good for something. You might get away with it with a fibreglass flipfront roundie.
I know, weld in a few extra inches and make it a stretch front roundie!

The ones I've checked out all need a LHD steering rack. The RHD one fouls the Honda's transmission. Unless you can work out how to move the whole rack back 40mm without messing up the steering geometry.

VTEC MINI COOPER CONVERSION SUBFRAME by ULTRIK

This sub-frame is designed to mount a Honda B-series VTEC engine in a standard length, round nose Mini. The design allows fitment without extending the nose, cutting the external sheet-metal or boxing the firewall. The sub-frame mounts to standard mounting locations on the Mini, fitting both early and late model bodies.
In addition, stock Mini suspension arms, tie rods and steering rack can be used to maintain stock track width, as well as retain stock swivel hubs and brakes.

The frame is designed for ease of engine installation and location adjustment, with removable top tubes and adjustable motor mount brackets. The suspension towers accommodate aftermarket steel springs, mounted in the normal location, and can be used with Hi-Lo-type adjustable trumpets. Coil-over units can also be used.

Custom axle shafts to mate the Honda inner CV joint to the outer Mini CV joint are available upon request

I would be checking with the frame maker before I parted with my hard earned $$$$...
Ask if RHD rack is in stock position. A PITA if not.

Also, those frames are for the later shell with the single tower bolts.... and they don't take stock mini rubber springs. Only those crap US designed steel ones (which break). Or coilovers....

8 grand... thats not toooo bad considering people are saying to leave about 10 grand for these Starlet Gti conversions.
Whats the power output like between the two engines. and will you be looking at getting road rego for the car?
