Yipppeee, I got my LS back today all fixed and now changes gears without any probs .. Just one problem I found when I got home, oil all over the engine & bay and dripping onto the ground. Not sure if it's just a loose pipe or maybe the oil filter is loose but the idiot light didn't come on at any time on the hours drive home??? Will clean the engine and bay in the morning and see what I can find but otherwise, LSee goes very well now. |

Sump can't be empty yet if the light didn't come on. They probably just forgot to do something back up ![]() |

I checked the dipstick and it's sitting on the F mark and so far, can't find anything loose but will wait until I give it a blast with the high pressure washer tomorrow.. |

Check-out the most unlikely things first. ie-is oil filler cap on properly -check all engine breather hoses. - check rocker cover gasket is not"pinched"at the rear edge. Hope this helps ![]() |

Any joy on the oil leak situation? If you can't locate the source of the leak and fix it easily, take it back to the shop that repaired it straight away - it's their responsibility. Even if you've managed to stem the flow, inform them of the issue so that they are aware that you are not full of admiration about their workmanship. |

I am pretty sure it is the dipstick that caused the problem as it is very loose and does not fit tight in the hole. Looked bad at the time but no drop in oil from the sump, still says full on the stick. I cleaned it all this morning and have checked everything else and have found nothing else loose. Ran the motor for 15 mins but didn't have time to give it a good run down the road. |
