Hi, As you all know I just bought my first car recently. I have only had my mini (Mr Checkers) a few months & yesterday my brother (whos 18 and a P's hoon idiot), took my spare keys and crashed it.
I was at work and came back to find the right side front light smashed in, the panel crushed & grill, bonnet bent up.
I hate him, I will list a pic tommorrow, it's covered at the moment so my dad can't find out & kill me for leaving my spare keys at home. I hope the insurance will pay, but it was his fault & it was only insured under me. So depressed. :(

that f*cking little maggot! your dad shouldn't be pissed at you for leaving the spare keys at home - that's what they're for - so you don't lose them.... if insurance doesn't pay, I'd be selling every single thing that little bastard owns to get the money back - I sure hope he's feeling very very bad about it

if he doesn't give a f*ck - bring him along to Mt Cooper and we'll take him and give him a good lesson in respect....

Don't hold back Simon, tell us what you really think :P

catzzmandu, I feel for you big time. One of my brothers used to trash my things all the time. But to take someone's car without asking is a LOW ACT, to trash it and not pay up is just unforgivable! Image I'd be damn well telling your father all about it!

Unless your car is insured for and under 25 male driver they won't pay anything. Better make him pay for it.. I hope he's learns his lesson!

You could report it stolen, which it was. Your insurance company will then pay for it. But will also seek a conviction..........

Absolutely. If your house got broken into, the spare keys taken, and your car stolen, then crashed, does it make any difference if it was a family member?

I should think not. You didn't know he was driving it, so it is therefore stolen, yes? Insurance should pay up. But who knows, they are insurance companies after all.

And you should show your dad. Money to fix it is one thing, but when Dad cracks the shits at ya, you know you're in trouble. Let him get the full force of your old man. He deserves it.

Ah, sh!t, what a pain. My little brother stacked my older brother's Escort into a wall before he had his licence, and a couple of months later I reversed Dad's Civic at speed up the driveway and crashed into the same Escort. I dropped my other brother's RZ350 in a patch of gravel. 15 years ago and we're just about all on speaking terms with each other.

Cant find my cable to upload the photo, oh well.
Yeah my dad is a bit nuts, my brother did last time take my sisters car & I remember he blamed her for leaving the keys out on the kitchen table. I hid mine, but obviously not well enough.
He has said he will pay, but I dont think he's got that much money, loooks like it will be quite a bit. Does anyone know a good smash repairer? I was thinking Mini's Plus or Link.
Too bad now I cant bring her to Mt Cooper. Aghhh I want to get revenge and smash his Toyota Sprinter, but will resist.
Thanks for sympathy. I would smash him but damn it he's bigger than me. As in lenghthwise..

Mke him sell his "Drift weapon" Sprinter to pay for the damage. Then he can buy a 1.2L Auto corolla to dirve around with the change. Sounds like that's all he deserves to drive!
