Our 850 has an intermittent problem which has occurred twice in the last 3 days. It seems the fluid is not returning to the master cylinder when you take your foot from the clutch pedal, so the clutch doesn't engage. In traffic, it loses drive and when you push the pedal again, it goes about halfway down and then stops. When I looked under the bonnet, the clutch arm is about 10mm off the stop. After about 10 minutes, it's good to go again.

I figure somehow the slave cylinder is jamming and / or the rubber hose between the slave cylinder and the line coming off the master cylinder is restricted. When it locks on the 2nd pump of the pedal, it's because (I think) the slave has reached the end of its travel. After 10 minutes, the slave has pushed the fluid back into the master cylinder and it's back to normal.

So I've ordered a new slave cylinder and hose and will replace it on the weekend. Is this probably the problem, based on the above description? The master cylinder was resleeved so I'm assuming that's good.

TIA
