Post subject:  Alternator tensioning bracket

While I'm waiting for my rotors today I was gonna do some other stuff. For one the bloody Bosch alternator refuses to stay tight - I'm thinking its because of the tensioning bracket - the original one is too short and I dont have a MIg so instead of welding I just got a V8 chrome long bracket. But its not curved enough thus hitting the alternator fan blades and I had to run it under the alternator, rather than on its side. So I was thinking maybe I'd just lower the mount point for that bracket from the original mount to the bolt directly under it. thus solving the angle problem - sorry if it all sounds criptic.

Any suggestions for keeping the Bosch belt from slackening all the time?

I never got to asking you coz you'd usualy alrealdy be doing a whole heap of stuff for me every time I'm there - in the meantime though, I've redone my setup and it looks a bit better.
