I was thinking that red would be too much, maybe black. What about a beige or something similar? What colour carpet and hoodliner?

I had a dream 2 nights ago that my mini had two front bucket seats, and all the seats were trimmed in black leather. It wasn't the tight black leather, it was puffy with lots of padding. Looked awsome and very comfortable. Would probably cost alot, but I enjoyed it in the dream anyway.

Try and keep the interior to a select few colours or shades. IMO once you pass about
4 different colours in the car it starts to look cheap and thrown together.
White interiors look alright in red cars, but I think you can never go wrong with black.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yeah I plan to limit the usage of colour. As far as white goes though, I think that would be too hard to clean and im not really looking for the mustang look. Black is nice but its very comon and gets really hot (I have black vinyl seats at the moment).

At this stage im thinking:

1.)
Black leather for the seats
Black seat belts
Browny grey carpet
Hood liner?????????

or

2.)
Beige leather for the seats
Beige or black seat belts
Carpet?????????
Hood liner?????????

Black microsuede, buy it online from www.fabric.com, landed in NZ for about NZ$22/linear metre. Width is about 30cm wider than a mini. It's robust, looks like suede but is cotton based. Our microseude lounge suite is bearing up very well to kids spilling stuff on it. Go into a furniture store to feel it for real, but you won't believe the abuse it can take.

my 2 cents. Oh, obviously you can buy other colours.

Yeah I like the look of suede but not sure about using it for the seats, would be a lot cooler though. Have considered using it for head lining and will definately use it for the parcel shelve. Have you got any photos of it in your car?

this has to be one of the best interiors(apart from doorlady's) that i have seen. Beige or cream looks great in a mini

Those seats look really flash.... the wood trim suits nicely but doesn't really do it for me. IMHO, go for black with touches of chrome.

If i were to do an all new trim, it'd be black and grey and tan.

All leather on the Black sides on the seats, but with perforated tan centres, and a dark grey velour hoodlining. Tan seatbelts, too. I'd use non-mini seats with a seperate headrests and side cushions. two-tone door trims? i dunno.

Gotta get the tan right, though. It cant be too light, the piccie above would look too light with black supports.

Combined with a black wheel and gearnob, it'd look really classy. Maybe grey or tan carpet? Not black. Too much black in other cars.

Hmmm some good suggestions. I like that tan interior but not a big fan of wood especially in a mini. Does anyone know what they used colour and material wise for the headliner in that car?

As far as two tone seats go, they wouldnt suit my standard buckets but agree it would look good in an aftermarket seat especially with the perforated stuff.

So does anyone know if I can grab a intertia seat belt system from another car and install in my mini?
