it just supports the body posts, so that under hard cornering the posts dont flex and the body doesnt scrub out.

Well done and looks awesome :)..

You should come Mini racing with us one Saturday..

Here is a photo of some Mini's including one of ours at a major race meeting.

Image

Unfortunatly my other Mini was not well that night so I was unable to enter her.

But here is a photo of them together.

Image

The pink Mini which is mine is also fully optioned with every optional Tamiya Mini part available and some secret Mini magic thrown in for extra performance :)...

This is what she looks like without the shell on.

Image

Finally here is a photo of what Lyn's Mini originally use to look like. The shell was all masked up and everything painted with an air brush by me :).

Anyway let me know if you would like to attend one of the race meetings and I will find out when the next one is on. As I have not competed now for over a year. But I want to get back into Mini racing again. I think it would be a blast to turn up to a race meeting in Granny and pull the RC Minis out of the boot :).

The race meeting is at Eastern Creek every second Saturday. I will find out which Saturday it is on tommorow and let you know.. The guy who owns and runs the club is also a personal friend of mine :).

In regards to the rules you are only allowed Tamiya hop up parts and the only engine you can have apart from the standard 540 is the Sport Tuned. You also must run standard gearing and no eagle gear sets and yes they check the cars over :). You can also run HPI tyres thats not a problem. All electric Tamiya chassis are permitted such as the M03, M01, M03L (which is the BMW Mini chassis).

Also the last time I raced it was $10.00 for the whole day.

You will also need a hole in your shell somewhere so as an electric transponder can be mounted. Unless of course you have a personal transponder then you dont need this hole in your shell.

I would also highly recommend running a shell that you are not too fussy about as it will get damaged as per my pics :(..

But they are lots of fun to race and also lots of fun to watch.. I sure do miss racing mine and I want to get back into it again.

I would also recommend you have a couple of spare batteries. If you dont have a decent charger dont worry I have one of the best chargers money can buy :).. I also have six batteries myself so if you need to borrow one I can help you there.

But other than that thats about it. Oh and dont forget a chair. I normally take extension leads and I have a custom built 240 volt power supply which outputs 12V DC in which I connect my charger up to. I also have a table and canopy for those hot sunny days and I would be happy to share these with you :).

Anyway I will find out more tomorrow and let you know..

BTW the Sprite Mini won Concourse on the night :? and its a fast Mini too..
