Clutch slaves are very easy once you know the trick. Remove the old one, replace with a new one. all of two bolts and one pipe to disconnect and reconnect. Once it is connected. again. open the bleed screw on the slave and attach the bleeder hose to it. then place the other end of the hose back into the reseviour of the clutch master cylinder. then start pumping, and keep pumping. then when you think thats enough, it won't be, pump some more. make sure that there is absolutly no air in it. then nip it up.
(I will credit this little peice of advice to doogie) you may need to adjust your throw out stop and clutch screw, then again maybe not. Easy job. if it is your brake slaves, then replace them which are easy enough to do, bleed em as best you can and take it to a mechanic, (slowly) and get them to do it. Mini Brakes are a pig to bleed perfectly without all the right bits.

Cheers

You have a manual or you wouldn't have to change the slave cyl.

Sorry, bad joke!

How I do it is attach the hose, open the valve a bit and pump the clutch with the other end of the hose in clear liquid. When the pedal gets very stiff (the faster it happens the less air in the system) hold the pedal all the way down and get someone to close the valve. Its important to do so with the pedal down, otherwise you're letting air back in.
Repeat it a few times till no air bubbles at all come through the hose into the jar with the liquid.

Thats the universal way of bleeding the slave, and I find that the Haynes way just end up passing a jar of clutch oil through the system pointlessly.
