Has anyone successfully transformed either end of a mini shell into something quite spectacular (namely BBQ, stereo system, etc.)
I'm thinking of getting a wrecked mofo and bogging it all up smooth and make something out of it.

Any pics/info of what anyone has done.

All input appreciated.

Will.

A bloke in Lawson in the blue mountains (NSW) has a clubman BBQ
He has the rear of the mini and the bbq slides out of the boot when you open it.
It looks great. (wish I had a photo)

The best thing i have seen is the WHOLE bottom end of a mini (windscreeen wipers down) turned into an office desk. The person sits with his/her legs in the door opening. The bootlid opens to reveal books and folders, the bonnet opens to reveal the liquor cabinet ( ... but of course  )

There was a picture of one in a very early MiniWorld mag... i'll see if i can find it....

I've got a 65 deluxe 1100 that I was going to restore, but since it needs new front floors (maybe rears too), sills, boot floor, a bit of door-pocket rust removal and dent repair, hydro repair or dry conversion, engine rebuild and a complete new interior, I gave up and (unless someone would like to buy it) I've been getting to really like the idea of cutting the front off and making a bbq under the bonnet. can't be that hard surely... just need to get the wife to appreciate how cool it would look in our (fairly small) backyard. could probably make the back half (minus the roof) into an outdoor lounge chair and cupboard (boot) to go with the barbie... 8)
If anyones done the bbq-front-cut idea i'd love to hear any suggestions/tips...
