I have been ask by my grand father if i am interested in his fathers
fully restored model T Ford .
To get this car i will probably have to sell my 62 model 850
What do you guys think i should do? Keep in mind the model T has
been in the family since new!

Gee I have problems coming to grips with "my grandfathers father's" - My grandfatherwas puddling around in trenches in france at about the same time the T model was becoming popular. *s*

Back on the subject - its a difficult decision. With club plate regos its not as expensive to keep a couple of cars as it once was but do you have to sell one to buy another.

My personal preferance would be to go with the family heritage for the family's sake. Its a constant. But you are getting a car that is a bit rough on a cold wet winters morning and you only want a litre of milk to get the day's first coffee under way.

mate, go the T every day of the week. It will not be fun as a mini, fast or
as enjoyable to drive... BUT it is a piece of your family history and heritage.
def the T mate.. all the way

What year Model T? Sounds almost too good to pass up! Is there ANY way at all you could keep the mini AND get the model t? Is there someone else in your family who'd go halves with you or something .... just another option to think about I suppose. Would love to see a pic of the model t if you have one?

The problem with a model T is that it is not very modern (duh) I mean is does not have front wheel brakes and it has the foot operated gears that makes it a chore to drive down to the shops! The model A that followed is much much easier to use.

A mini 850 is a classic that can be used everyday. :P

Keep the "T" in a museum and the 850 in the garage.

surely if its in the family you wont ahve to buy it? unless your other family members are falling on times of hardship.

you HAVE to keep the model T in the family, there has to be a way you can do both. but there is no way you will be able to drive the T everyday, like the 850.
