Hi all,

I saw one of these advertised on eBay the other day for $215 and now can't find it?

Does anyone know where you can get a decent car cover for mini's?

Cheers,
BC.

I got one of those.. Minisport in SA sell them. They're expensive for a car cover, but worth it in my opinion. They are custom fitted with elastic around the bottom so they fit nicely - wind isn't a problem. Also they are 100% water proof unlike those crappy cheap covers. Last friday in sydney we had extrememly heavy storms, looked like it was going to hail golf balls. So I put lots of blankets over the mini, then put the cover on top. Luckily it didn't hail, but it rained down in bucket loads.. Took the cover off after and not a drop got through.

It will cost you around the same price (or more - tax, etc) to import one from the UK. So it's a pretty good deal.

The one you saw on ebay was a Minisport one.

I'm getting one custom made up by this mob ($300 - $400 depending on material).

Do a search on car covers, there was a thread I started on this before.

Santa will be delivering me a custom made one from Peny International before Xmas - these are made to order from the USA. I ordered one today made from their "Noah" material mainly for the reasons outlined by h0nk, that we seem to get a bit of hail in these areas and the "Noah" material provides the toughest all weather protection.

$300 for the car cover plus $20 for express delivery (to get it before Xmas). He threw in the embroidary for free (you can get your name, rego, etc stitched in 5 cm high letters onto the cover so it doesn't get knocked off), and said he'd do the same for anyone from ausmini. Just call Mick on 1800 172 602 (Official Disclaimer - I will receive nothing for you ordering a car cover).

If I don't get it before xmas, I will just have to knock h0nk's one off.

Well

for those that have visited my garage this is not news but all of my minis have fitted fannelette PJs in different colours. Fannel is a perfect dust cover as it doesn't scratch nor allow dust to go through. Works out to be $80 per car or there abouts.

Dorothy has light green to match her paint

Queenie has red love hearts matching her red interior

White woody has white with little teddies

Elf and now Bruizer has dark blue

MG is having one mad in stripes

I'll post pics soon

Your not mad at all if you have a few cars washing and polishing just because of dust gives you the shits so PJ's are the go.

Hahah that's thanks to my dodgy install job. I lost one of the bolts when I was putting it on.. and so the thing just flops around, holding on by one bolt. I've got to take it off and find a new bolt some time.

Thanks Matt. Good to see some pics of what they look like too. I got very excited until I realised that it was $US ... still reasonable though I think.

I wonder how much shipping to Oz would be???
