I have this VH-40 E-L Brake Booster that i picked up from the local car wreckers and i think it is out of an Austin 1800, it was actualy sitting on the back seat not fitted.
Would this be ok to fit to my car or would it be to powerful ?
I read on a here somewhere recently that these put out about 1800 psi pressure compared to the VH 44 which puts out about 1200 psi.
I have a 1275 modified and 7.5 s disks fitted.

If too powerful i will sel this and look for a VH 44.

A bloke at a swap once tried to sell me a vh40 for the mini. Contrary to popular opinion he swore that it would be fine. Probably just trying to flog it off because everyone since then has said stick with the 44.

They all work,,,& there are also many different types of the VH44 some way more powerfull than the VH40

i don`t use them at all myself,,,i can push my pedal quite ok,,,maybe a 12 year old girl could use one as she may not have enough strength in her wee little skinny li\tlle weak legs

Boosters don`t make the brakes work any better, they are only there to relieve pedal pressure
