Okay so Operation: Bling has already started for the new A+ motor.
Now.
I'd like to have every (well not every, but most that are easy to take out) bolt and nut, etc, either plated or replaced.

What are my best options.
And what is the cost like, verse getting them new or having them plated.
And what does each look like - cadmium? or zinc, etc.

Thanks.
willy.

Just be aware that any plating weakens bolts, due to hydrogen embrittlement.......
I would NOT do the head bolts, but with most of the others on the outside it won't matter.
Zinc plating is a silver colour (until it ages), cadmium is a gold tinge, nickel is like chrome but a bit yellower.. 8)

Buy yourself an EZ nickel kit and go to town.
Like Doc said, not everything can be plated.

When I restored one of my other cars, I would have loved for them to have had a cad plating kit out. I spent a small fortune on doing bolts and small fixtures. As well as the cost there is also the time factor. I rarely got anything back from the platers inside of two - three weeks.
