Autobarn in Traralgon are having a Italian Job Mini gathering next Friday, 9th December.

Hoping the local Mini owners will show up in force so we can see and compare cars. I will certainly be taking my camera and getting pics of what sort of Mini's we have in this area..

hey smokie,
I grew up down in Moe/Morwell/Tgon area so know it well. Family still lives down there. I have to work in Melbourne on he 10th and am then driving down to go to a family do....have meant to check out the hill climb in Morwell for ages.... since i am miniless at the moment that doesn't seem as appealing. Had a sweet mini when I lived in morwell....sold it when I started travelling overseas for work.

Cheers

hey smokie,
thanks for the invite. I will have to see what comes up this week and let you know. I only come down from the big smoke every few months so it is usually crazy busy seeing family and shiat.

I will pm you later this week.

Hey Smokie, you've got the Mini back, does that mean you've had the oil leak fixed?
By the way, I've rung Chris at Autobarn and put in an apology - I have to work this Friday night ! What a bummer

Yeah Smokie! Unfortunately it seems the obligation to my employer includes numerous night sessions which are non-negotiable  . It does work both ways however, with extra paid leave granted on top of the normal holidays for the past 8 years, to do Rally Tas. :D
As for the twilight hillclimb on Saturday, I'll be there, but because it's being run in the reverse direction which doesn't suit the 'S's gearing, I've entered the 124 Coupe again. However, if the weather is fine I might bring something else :?
Have fun Friday night, I hope lots of Bricks come out to say G'day

Gee moemoke, what a bummer as I would really like to come over and fit the motor in the Moke for you but it just so happens that I am busy for the next few days... You know, cleaning my Moke for the show, getting the LS home and ready as well, hillclimb on Saturday, recovering Sunday.. You know how it is.... :?

The Mini night starts at around 7:00pm of Friday evening btw..

Nine Mini's showed up for the Autobarn Mini night and three others couldn't make it..

Here are a couple of pics of some of the cars that where there ...

The red clubbie is the Mini in the Home Hardware ad that Red Symonds sits in and is owned by a bloke from Drouin and it runs on full gas...
