Okay just quickly..... my park lights work... my driving lights dont work.... checked the fuse and it was blown... so i got more... 25amp like the original... but now they all keep blowing... is 25 amps the right amount? And is it right that my parkers still work even though the fuse is broken..... the thing that holds the fuses... has 2 fuses... right are the driving... whats the left for? cuz i pulled the fuse out and everything else still seems to work? |

Fuses arn't you'r problem..you have a short in you'r wireing harnes. It's time for you to do some detective work and find where it is. Seen as you'r head lights are not working I would start thier and check the length of the wire. No easy way out of it here ![]() |

On Oz Minis, headlights are not fused... Top fuse is park lights & horn, bottom is wipers, stop lights etc. |

if it's a clubman they are fused. Top driver side of the firewall you will find tucked up a fuse holder. Why it is blowing your fuses is because it shouldn't be attached to the main fuse box. it is drawing enough current from the fuse as it is, without having anything else running thru it. Jim's theory is also pretty solid. check that the wiring harnes has no exposed wires. Most obvoius place to find one it were the harness passes thru the guard to the light. But you will have to check the hole thing sorry... Don't drive it around until you have got this fixed. last thing you want to do is let out all the smoke in the wires and worse case senaio let the flames out of your car. Get it fixed, cheaper to do it now than rebuild th whole car. Cheers Aaron |

I like the theory that all mini wiring harnesses are full of encapsulated smoke waiting to get out. I remember a Beyond 2000 story years back about high tensile bolts that had a hollow core filled with a red dye and if the bolt cracks then it leaves a visible red stain. This was going to revolutionise the aeronautical and motor racing industries (as well as others) Did anything ever come of it ?????? |

Common man every one knows as soon as you loose your smoke the thing is stuffed. So you have to keep the smoke in! ![]() ![]() |
