I've put the subframe onto the van today, along with the brake line and fuel line that runs under the car (see pic). Should I put something in between the lines and the body of the car so that vibrations can be minimised? While driving, do they vibrate against the car at all?? ![]() |

I don't think so, I've never heard of a problem with vibrations here. |

If you have an ecclectic pump it's not a bad idea to use some neoprene foam strip to stop the noise/vibration |

I'll tell you a scary story about vibrating brake lines - I discovered on my K after doing some work on the brakes, that the line across the front of the subframe that goes from the switch to the left front wheel was missing the little clips that hold it steady, it had worn a very thin patch on a section about 2 inches long. When I bled the brakes and had some pedal, it suddenly went away, and there was a big puddle of brake fluid in the centre of the car at the front - had popped a hole in the line - lucky it was when I was in the garage and not on the road RETAIN YOUR BRAKE LINES!! |
