I am looking for a Clubby panel van (in Perth/WA) and have found one or two people who I want to contact in regards to viewing the minis. They are both over an hour drive away and don't want to get there just to find out that's a POS and wasted a drive.

The van is slated for a 4EFTE conversion with a ground up rebuild so don't really care about the engine but do care about suspension, general interior and of course RUST.

I want to compile a list of questions I should be asking over the phone before I have to hire a trailer, jump in the car and go and see it. Also, is there any questions specific to vans I should be aware of? Please make your sugesstions ...

I also blame my Dad for me being 6' 1" - not really the optimum height for driving a Mini.

look out for rust in the rear doors, especially in the bottom and the corners (mostly the bottom corners nearest the body when the doors are open)

Along the roof line at the gutters.

Then normal Mini stuff like sills, beaver panels etc.
