I'm looking for sketches and pictures of the (in Europ) very rare MKI doors with window regulator instead of sliding windows.

I'm sorry for not knowing the precise english terms for this special doors.

i think he is refering to our standard deluxe and K doors. External hindges and wind up windows. Not rare in OZ :P

As you might know these aussie standart doors are really rare in Europe. I think there are some differences between these doors and the ones made by Radford.

Yes, I'm interestet in the internal hinges. If there had been some versions with electric windows, please let me know, it could be interesting, too.

@ TheMiniMan: Do you have some more informations about how the door looks without the tapes covering the wholes. Which wind-up mechanism was used, with one arm or with two?

@ J_A_M: No, I don't like to buy some of these doors, I just like to know how thes differ from the European MKI and MKIII doors to make some similar looking out of carbonfibre.

I think Radford fitted electric windows to some of their minis.
The problem though is it used a chain drive system, which was apparently slow,
noisy and other undesirable stuff.
The better way to go is to use the electric motor from a car seat.
The inbuilt worm gear reduction drive should provide enough torque to retain the lever
system on the aussie doors that moves them up or down.

Radford doors are normal UK Mk1 doors converted to wind-up or power windows. They are completely different to Oz ones on the inside, and even the glass does not interchange.

Oz Minis never came with electric windows or internal hinges. Even our Clubmans had external hinges. :)

What are the differences to the later Clubbie doors (also inside the door)?

They have different locking plates in the door frame and aren't compatable with later doors and bodies. You could put these doors on any early roundnose mini with external hinges but not on doors with internal hinges.

Hows downtown Germany today and glad your on ausmini forum.
