Check the Chris Ellis (TAS) wild ride and the nice shot of HistoricRacingS serving it up to the Triumph

Hey...thats Motor Racing :(

Chris crawled away and I don't think it was all that bad a roll (if there is such a thing). I think Greigs was much more terrifying.

Your right Mick. Chris' roll was "fairly" gentle. It did some pretty major damage to the front of the car however.

I was coming into the corner just as he went over. Not what you want to see on the last corner of the last lap!!

Mick,
Chris believes he was tapped by one of the other cars but not sure which (it was really close racing). He seemed to still be on the track when he started going over as you can see in the first photo. Its most likely to be the Mazda I'd say.

Luckily Chris was OK, shaken but not stirred.

No doubt it wont slow him down at all. He always drives at 115% !!

Have you heard anything about an Historic meeting planned for Bathurst in 2006? I've heard rumours for Easter.

Oh Dear...I couldn't see any tap damage in the other pics....maybe I need to look again....however, could have been a side by side-move over.. that could do it :(

Easter Bathurst: Not a sausage...is what I've heard....I have officials application forms for the Bathurst International Motor Festival 12-15th April 2006 meeting and the Secretary of the Meeting is at Kings Langley (PO Box 421, KL NSW 2147 telephone 0409 980 696 and fax 02 9620 4454....check it out.

Best Wishes, Mick

To see an even better pic, check out the Final Turn in the back of Issue 5 of The Mini Experience - and a very brief race report in the motorsport bit.

Cheers, Watto.

Post subject:  Easter Bathurst meeting

I contacted the Mt Panorama office, and they gave me an email address (that doesnt exist!) to contact for entry details etc. They said that was the promoter. Perhaps they misread or I took down the email wrong.

Not to worry, the easter meeting is part of the Biante Series, so entry forms etc can be sourced from the website www.bianteseries.com.au

Its not actually a point scoring round of the Biante Series however.

hope this helps. Was thinking of competing, but the drag up the mountain is a good motor killer....
