Which would be better for a 998 with 45dcoe.

The KENT 266 or 276 megadyne (i think 286 would be a bit much!)
Or even a 731?

Has anyone got something to say about any of these cams.
Still trying to pick the "right" one for my motor.

I have a 286-ish grind in my 1275, and with a Vizard ported head it was really smooth - would be the same story for a 998, the head and cam really are a matched set for any motor, if you do one, do the other

with all the talk of RE-13's I thought you'd have caught that bug - :?:

I've had a Camtech VP3 which was between the 266/276, and a 731. Trust me, the RE-13 would kill both the 266 and 731. The 276... probably kill it too..

isn't the fact that everyone in sydney raves about them, and people like minicranks in NZ are getting them enough to give one a shot?

I think I'll give one a go when I rebuild my S motor next year

do you have a copy of Vizard (the yellow one)? decide what you're gonna do with your head, and it'll help you work out a cam. Like I said, if you're gonna leave the head stock, don't go too far with the cam cos it won't be able to breathe

Kev, do you have the angles, lifts and durations of the re-13, I'd like to compare with mine...

If you express post a `stock' cam to Graham Russell he'll regrind it and send back.
I think it costs U around $160 incl return post. Ring him & ask.
I'll PM U details.

It's similar idle to 731, but that's where similarity ends. 8)

I am rebuilding an engine at the moment as well. What advantage does the RE13 grind give you over a standard cam? do you have to buy special followers etc?

Help me out - I was just going to put the standard cam back in!
