well i think it is conclusive that these are the best tyres for mini's so i have decided to replace my slippery 30 year old retreads with someone nice new rubber.

today i ordered some so i am just curious to see if $105 each is around the right price it is what i expected so i am not fussed just curious.

cheers

$105 sound expensive to me when I got a quote for Bridgestone jobbies @ 60 each. But I am not fussed about what tyres I have, cheaper is better for me!

$105 is about right for Yoko A008's. I did get a quote of about $98 but that was awhile ago now...

Bridgestones and Yoko A008 are vastly different tyres!

Bromley, we are talking a tyre that is probably a bit better than the Bridgies you have been quoted for.

At the moment I have two A008s on the rear and two A032Rs on the front. Considering there is $150.00 per tyre diffirence in the price I think $105 is a good price for what you get.

When I had the 12" wheels I ran the A539 on a couple of track days and they were also a very very good tyre.

I Bought a set from the same place as Max, but two years ago, and they were $95 ea ...

Graham or ganised a bulk lot about 12 months ago, and they were $96 ea from Wallsend.... ( I think. . . ) so for them to jump $20 in less than a year... its a worry....

These things have been "Unobtainium" for a few years, but they still keep coming....

When I get the van operational I may think about fancy tyres. Might go do a search and get some info.

Probably fodder for a new post but what are the best ROAD tyres for a 12" rim? I currently have Falkens and need 2 replacing for a roadworthy.

yokohama a539's are the best road tyre for 12" rims.

i don't recommend having different tyres on the front than whats on the back..
it makes the handling dangerous.
