Who votes 10x6 wheels should be legal for the Mini1000 series when (if :roll: ) it takes off?

I reckon its a good idea.

well depends on ehat tyres your alowed to run , if you all running 165s id say any rims cause they it doesnt really matter at al really

Nah keep it fun and keep it to 4.5-5 inches thats the corerect rim size foe 165, 6 inch rims really need a 175 or 185 fitment and they dont make those in a 10 inch road trye and besides a 998 doesn't need or have the power to need them. It will be more fun for the drivers if the cars are a little under tyred, forget about outright lap times compared to other types of cars and just worry about how much fun you can have with your own types of cars :D

10x5 are common everywhere, made in Oz- 10x6 uncommon here, only made in UK and cost $$$.

Very little benefit over a 10x5 with a 165/70-10 tyre, and when they do break away, it's more sudden.

So for a budget series I'd forget them. Too costly.

Man o man, SA is way behind NSW, we had a mini 1000 race series here in the early 90's, but it said that Sa is 15 years behind the rest of australia 8)

It dosen't matter what wheels you run as long as everyone runs the same width. The cheaper the better!

My choice would be 4" wheels. You don't need flares and you don't overload the 30 year old suspension parts.

I raced in HQ Holdens and they were allowed 7" or 8" wheels which in my view was too wide. The cars had too much grip for the power.

Minis never had those big 4" widies, maybe the Morris 1100 did...? :lol:

For a 165/70-10 tyre, 10x 3.5" wide early Mini rims are too narrow. So that leaves 4.5 steelies, or 4.5 or 5" alloys. Apart from the mythical/expensive 6" GBs/Mambas/Revolutions....

Minator 10x6's are readily available over the counter here in SA. They look about 9000% better than the 10x5's and will only cost a couple hundred dollars more for a set of 4.

Its all about the dish, people!

Okay I'm up to date on it now...I agree Spaceboy yer Sydney had this 15years ago but do we have one now....no... So I am jelouse.. and will watch from the side.

I do like the idea of watching you all go around on 6's but to keep the cost down I think you should go back to the stealies as the price factor is the main issue for most :!:
