Just finished installing the vh44 booster l purchased before xmas.
Took the car for a test run, booster definitely works,can put you throught the windcreen if not careful. Will take some getting used to to.
I read prevoiusly that there sould be a difference in pedal height with a booster installed. However not in my case. When l put my foot on the brake and start the engine the pedal height does not fall. Also after parking the car l put my foot on the brake and pumped it and heard air escaping from the booster. It seemed to come from the air intake valve is this normal ?

yes that is normal- air is going in.. you will get a few brake applications before vac pressure goes. :wink:

has anyone ever rebuilt one of these babies? or know how to test them off a vehicle?
