Mick,
My mini mechanic AKA Tim tells me that a clutch can't really seize - I am questioning this mechanics background as well.

My advice to Dave so far has been that if the master and slave cylinders are working as explained numerous times and the adjustment is good, yet there is no improvement to the problem, then he has nothing to lose by inspecting the clutch mechanism.

In fact, I wish I was able to spend more time in Coota so I could play around with the car as well.

We have talked about the cost of restoring a mini, and Dave just seems happy to play around with the car for now. I can only imagine how boring Coota would be if he didn't have the mini project!

The clutch plate might be down to bare metal mate ...who knows??

Does this mech do house calls because Dave has undone a few things now??

Dave might have been better learning to Remove the Engine 101, take it down to Tim etc etc

Maybe get this mech to talk on the telephone to Tim direct (if Tim is cool with that)....at least he will have to come up with some very good bullshit to put it over Tim.

Earth to Dave McCabe....don't be starting three different posts for the one problem (clutch)

with the clutch cover off...its too late mate....have a look at the emails I sent and search on clutch, slave or hose (the old clutch hoses can get soft inside and collapse when you push the clutch pedal in...thats why we were all asking you if the clutch arm on the housing was moving when you pushed the pedal in.... :D
