 Post subject: Baulk rings stuffed ?

Iv'e just pulled apart and cleaned all the parts from an old 3 syncro box and have noticed where the baulk ring sits on its coresponding cone there is a material stuck on the steel which has broken away. This material looks like it grips the baulk ring.
Anyway i spose this material isn't replacable and this means those parts are stuffed.
Any ideas ?
