Go here and download this episode of topgear from 1989. http://www.mininova.org/tor/134870 It's an episode of topgear from 1989 and (apart from being hilarious) it has a review of the Mini 30th birthday at silverstone and they give you quick info on the era turbo and the BAC 30 (1300 s/c) and they talk to Paddy hopkirk, John Cooper and Spike Milligan. 
Quite worth it....it's got a rally school segment too and an awsome review of the 1989 mazda 323
