they are commonly called "mini specials". there are a number of people who use them in state and national championship motorkhanas, but most club events people just use what they have.
Wayne Griffiths in the Mini Car Club used to have one, which may have also passed through Warwick Butts hands at some point. If you come along to the motorkhana training day at the end of january (pm MrBob for details, as webmaster has not put it up on the MCCNSW website yet, and i lost my magazine) Wayne is likely to be there, along with Warwick. you can talk to them about it. or come along to the general meeting on Friday 6th jan and see them there (details on the website
