Post subject:  Thinking Caps on please a Moke Question(s)

1: I think the compliance plate has been removed from my moke... where should I find it?
2: It has an 1100cc engine 10YF/U/H and a body number something like AB8R, what model is this as I think on paper it's the LHD but it is actually a RHD version.

YJBAB8R, My book says LHD but the R on the end should mean RHD so once again the book must be wrong!
Leyland Moke 13'wheels and 1100 motor. My guess would be pre 73.

Depends on the year but in 73 base model mokes were sold as commercial vehicles and as such did not need compliance plates, trucks, tractors and mokes were for farms

Post subject:  Getting closer

OK we are getting closer

There is no compliance plate on firewall outside brake master cylinder and not even holes for rivets. So I'm guessing pre 73

It has 13" steel rims

The block has two rivit holes where the engine number is so I'm guessing that it may have been from an early model.
